We always drive past this place during our drives from Portland and back to home, so we've been wanting to try it out. Tonight we had a need for steak and didn't want to go to Outback for their over salted steaks, so to Ribeye we drove. We came at 8pm, which was an hour before closing, and the place was half full so there was a nice casual, non-busy air about the place. We got the cowboy ribeye and it was nicely seasoned. We split the plate and the waitress was nice enough to give us an extra plate. We also got the sweet potato fries with ranch and it was lovely. Our waitress was nice, but looked liked shed had a long day, so God bless her. We finished by splitting a Dutch apple pie a la mode. We got a really solid meal and we really liked the place. It's kinda towny and a little sad but I liked that about this place. It's a little pricey, but what legit steakhouse isn't? Will definitely come back the next time we have a yen for steak.

After passing by a few times whilst visiting Oregon over the past few years, we decided to make a point to try this restaurant intentionally. It was a good decision! The signboard is visible from the i5 highway on the East side. Hard to miss the "Rib Eye" signboard. Parking was aplenty although the area is quite dark so drive carefully. The inside of the restaurant was laid out like a typical diner with booths and tables. Long kitchen counter. Some metal art decor in the windows and chandelier lighting. Some souvenirs like sweatshirts, t-shirts and hats were sold at a corner. Quite a variety offered in the menu but of course we had to get the rib eye. Main choice of the "normal" grilled cowboy ribeye or the smoked ribeye. Each plate came with roasted vegetables (delicious) and a choice of mashed potatoes, baked, or fries. The mashed and fries were very good! Both styles of ribeye were tasty, done to our choices, and sizable. Make sure to come hungry. Prices were very reasonable for the quality of food and we would visit more if not for the 2h to get here from home. This is surely a great part of a road trip down south, or coming back north for us!

Grass doesn't grow under anyone's feet. Fast, friendly, prompt service. If I had only one complaint I wish they'd have more time to chat when sitting at the bar.

This has been a regular stop for me and the wife for many years as we travel between our summer home in northern Washington and Vancouver to visit family and friends. The food and service are always good and prices are reasonable.

Ok I'm bumping this place up a star after trying a second time. This time we were seated in a cleaner spot, no decor to clutter or dust, although the blinding sun was hard so we sat together in our booth, no biggie. I got the pulled pork and he got the tri tip. The pulled pork was DELICIOUS. His tri tip was very tough. We were going to share but after taking a bite of his, I stuck to mine. Our server was again very pleasant and friendly, good staff here. We will be back again! Still want to try the prime rib but dang that pulled pork was good.

Great service, although the staff appears overwhelmed as they are trying to cover too many tables at once. I considered giving a 4 star just to ding management for not having enough staff on hand, but in this economy and in that location, I can understand the difficulty. Coffee was hot and perfect. Big, tasty portions for great prices. Worth the drive from Olympia.

Long story short, took a girl here on our first date who turned out to be my wife 11 months later. Revisited it on the way through from Portland, because I remembered nothing about the food then. Good and polite service, food portions were big and really tasty. We had fried pickles and the old fashioned ground steak. The pickles were awesome and the ground steak was tasty and fulfilling and I would be happy to stop at this place again. You see it from the highway driving down I5, if you are looking for a simple but tasty meal that won't break the bank you need to stop in!
